I was recommended by one of my faculty to consult a counsellor at SWC in the first week of October 2018. I had a tough time with working on my semester project due to lack of planning and building a strong foundation for it in the initial stages. Lack of discipline in both handling the project and everyday activities such as sleeping on time, having atleast 3 meals per day made the matters even worse. Initially, Anisha ma'am helped me out with creating a schedule and made sure that I stuck to it. At least 6 hours of sleep, 3 meals a day 30 minutes of socialising with my classmates and 30 minutes of physical activities was recommended by the counsellor. Adding to the above mentioned tasks not only helped me to stay disciplined but also helped me to break free from monotonicity. It definately helped me to be in a better place in terms of academics. I started consulting Anjali ma'am fom late November 2018 as Anisha ma'am had been on maternity leave. I got an extension of approximately a month to complete my project. I somehow managed to clear the semester with CC.? If I had been more alert, planned and analysed the progess of my project since it's inception, chances of ending up with better grades would be higher. Though the entire semester had been a struggle, the struggle was worth it as I got a job with the package and designation more than what I had expected.

My final semester started from January first week 2019. A new year, a new semester and a fresh start! I continued the consultation with Anjali ma'am and discussed with her the mistakes I made the previous semester and the weak points I could improve upon such as my presentation skills, clarity ?in speech and thought, handling emotions etc. I started going to the gym by waking up early in the morning from March and made sure that I regular to it. This not only made my day longer but also reduced my lethargy,

weight and monotonicity.? This had a positive impact on the academic front as I was able to perform better, complete the tasks on time. I cleared my final semester by scoring AA in my graduation project. The jury appreciated my effort and liked my ideas.I would like to thank Anisha ma'am and Anjali ma'am for helping me to face the tough times. Rather than contemplating the mistakes that I had committed during my final year at IIT, both of them helped me to focus on the present rather than worrying about the past or the future. This helped me to achieve better results. They helped me in shaping myself into a

better individual.

The change wouldn't be possible if I hadn't put effort on my behalf. My willingness to change and learn combined with both the counsellors' guidance helped me to be in a better place.
