<p><span lang="EN-IN">IIT Bombay has secured fourth position in ‘Overall’ category, third position in ‘Engineering’ category and eleventh position in 'Management' category of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). The result of NIRF rankings was announced by the Hon’ble Minister of Human Resource Development, Government of India Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, today.</span></p><p><span lang="EN-IN">The Institute obtained a score of 80.75, 85.08 and 65.76 in the Overall, Engineering and Management category respectively of the NIRF 2020. The parameters used for NIRF rankings include Teaching, Learning & Resources, Research and Professional Practice, Graduation Outcomes, Outreach and Inclusivity, and Perception.</span><span style="font-size: 13.008px;"> </span></p><p><span lang="EN-IN">The Director of the Institute, Prof. Subhasis Chaudhuri in his remark said “IIT Bombay is pleased that we have been ranked as number 1 in India by the QS rankings and number 4 in India by the NIRF rankings. While rankings are one way to benchmark oneself, at IIT Bombay we will continue to strive towards overall excellence and providing a valueable educational experience to our students”.</span><span style="font-size: 13.008px;"> </span></p><p><span lang="EN-IN">Last year, the institute was ranked 4<sup>th</sup>, 3<sup>rd</sup> and 10<sup>th</sup> in Overall, Engineering and Management category respectively of NIRF.</span><span style="font-size: 13.008px;"> </span></p><p>The NIRF rankings was initiated by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India in 2015.</p>
