Institute celebrates 73rd Republic Day

<p>The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) celebrated the 73rd Republic Day on January 26, 2022 following the COVID-19 rules and guidelines, with a minimum number of attendees maintaining social distance.</p><p>The celebration began with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Institute’s Director Prof. Subhasis Chaudhuri at the Institute’s Gymkhana ground. IIT Bombay security staff and NCC gave a salute to the National Flag. Prof.Subhasis Chaudhuri addressed the gathering and shared his best wishes with the IIT Bombay community on the occasion of Republic Day. The entire programme was broadcast live.</p><p>He awarded certificates to winners of an essay writing competition on “Independent India@75:Way Forward” held during Vigilance Awareness Week 2021. Security Officer, guards and staff from IIT Bombay along with NCC cadets were felicitated during the event.</p>
